WHY WE MADE IT
Too many girls miss school during their periods or can’t study after dark. We created a practical solution that restores their dignity, protects the environment, and supports their right to education.
EVOLUTION OF THE ECOJUA SMART BAG
Prototype 1
A basic bag with reusable pads but poor durability and no lighting or solar features. It couldn’t withstand weather and daily school use.
Prototype 2
We now improved the bag by adding a recycled polythene for durability. But after some time the polythene would break. Making the bag not durable.
Prototype 3
Made from fully recycled plastic, improved solar technology, durable and water-resistant, with reusable pads and lighting. Stylish, functional, and designed to support girls in rural communities.
